Revision 1.2.0
1.2.0 changelog
General Changes
- Contact information for the artist - Miscellennyous Creative Works - has been updated. This is the main motivation for this update coming out at this time, along with the release of Wheels and Waves.
- Various interactions with the Marked status or the *Mark* action have been slightly reworded to make their effects more clear. In most cases, this means that an effect now says that it applies the Marked status, instead of giving you a different way to use the *Mark* action.
- Spelling, formatting, and wording changes have been made throughout all books. The Tables of Contents are less cluttered, each section is identified in the footer for easier navigation, tables have been reorganized, and many instances of "will" have been removed.
- Sidebars have been added to give guidance or examples for certain topics.
Player's Guide
Introduction
- The Sensitivity and Inclusion guidance has been updated.
Feats
- Summoning feats have been given their own heading. These are the longest and most complicated feats, and they behave differently enough to general, skill, and character creation feats to warrant the split. They are still major feats, and their benefits are unchanged.
- Grappler replaces the near-useless benefit of preventing you from losing control of a grapple with the ability to add your Proficiency to any check made to contest a grapple. This should dramatically increase its usefulness and the power of grappling builds as a whole.
- Solid Stance now lets you make two attacks with *Fight* outside of your own turn, removing a restriction that made the stance much less interesting.
- Stinger Tail's range has been increased slightly.
- Triple Dexterity now applies its accuracy bonus to any attack roll that starts a grapple, as long as the extra hand is empty. This is for future-proofing, and it ensures that this feat now unambiguously works with *Catch*.
The Stormwild Islands
- Details on food and fauna have been added to the setting information. Notable species and foodstuffs are provided to help flesh out the world.
Gamemaster's Guide
Introduction
- A proper introduction has been added. This section largely mirrors the Player's Guide introduction section, with GM-specific details.
The Fontlands
- Details on spirits have been expanded, including discussion of spirits who are not aligned with any major faction.
Optional Rules
- Some narrative skill feats have been adjusted. This mostly affects the number of times some abilities can be used per mission. For example, the Deception feat can now be used once per scene, instead of once per mission.
NPCs
- The Beast, Shieldmaster, Spiker, and Spotter NPC classes now have optional actions or traits that can inflict the Fumbling condition.
Introductory Missions
- References to specific scenes are now highlighted within the text.
- The Conclusion to Mission 2 has been expanded, including discussion of a potential alternate ending.
Sand and Bones
General Changes
- The Imperfect Codex's description has been updated to remove any references to a nonexistent "Imperfect Construct". Other, similar misspellings have been corrected.
